Infrared flammable gas detector
Nimbus is a Flameproof (Exd) infra-red flammable gas detector, which provides a cost effective solution for the protection of plant and personnel. It complies with standards world-wide and and is built to last in all manner of environmental conditions.
Features:
High reliability
- Constructed using highly durable marine-grade alloy with a tough polyester coating
- MTBF of 10 years
- Detects gas with optical system obscured by up to 90%, ‘dirty optics’ warning is provided at 75% obscuration
- IEC61508 SIL 2 compliant
Simple maintenance
- Local status light which identifies up to 22 detector conditions
- Simple calibration either remotely, or locally using a PC.
Flexible installation
- Dual 4-20mA and RS-485 outputs ensure simple integration with new or existing installations.
- Modbus serial link enables detectors to be multi-dropped, allowing addressable detectors to be controlled and interrogated remotely
- Duct mounting accessory available
