As gas detection specialists, we are continuing to reinforce our commitment to sharing our knowledge and expertise of gas detection safety around the world. As examples of this, in the Middle East, our recent establishment of a regional office in Dubai is allowing us to work with our partners and customers in the region. We also have a new office in Mumbai from which we support our customers and direct operations locally.
We have a long history of providing both fixed and portable gas detection solutions and these new local operations allow us to share our expertise better than ever before. The regional offices not only act as a base from which to provide local customer support, they are also now coming into their own as venues for Crowcon to host product and gas hazard training for service partners and customers.
Racan Melhem joined Crowcon as Middle East Regional Manager last June, to head up the company’s presence in the region. Based out of the new Dubai offices, Racan recently arranged a 4-day service training course on Crowcon products for 22 service engineers from around the Middle East. Delegates came from UAE, Saudi, Iraq, Oman & Yemen. Crowcon Training Officer, Simon Boulter, provided in-depth instruction on installation, service, repair, and calibration, increasing their product knowledge. On completion, the delegates said they now felt very familiar with Crowcon products and confident to support end-users.
Sandeep Diwate, based in Mumbai, came to Crowcon from 3M in 2013. Sandeep has arranged 11 training events with more than 200 representatives in total from across the region. Organizations such as Wartsila, SAIL- Bhilai Steel plant, ONGC, IOCL, L & T , HPCL , HMEL and RIL have attended these sessions with us, so equipping them to handle gas hazards in a better and informed way. About the events, Sandeep said, “Crowcon believes in empowering our esteemed customers and channel partners, and we regularly conduct training sessions in the field of gas detection.
