Crowcon Apprentice wins Student of the Year 2016

Last night, at an awards ceremony hosted by Abingdon and Witney College to celebrate student success, one of our second year Engineering Apprentices, Vikesh Patel, won not just ‘2016 Apprentice of the Year’ but, out of around 14000 students across 2 campuses, won ‘2016 Student of the Year’ too. Investors in People Celebration

On Friday 4th Dec we celebrated our recent achievement of the Investors in People accreditation with a tea party for all staff at our UK Headquarters. Waiter service was provided by the Directors and Senior Management Team, in recognition of the contribution of all employees to achieving the standard.

Building our future skills

This week, Bekkie Scales (our HR Manager) and Richard Hemming (our Manufacturing Engineering Manager) met with Nick Boles MP, Minister for Skills & Equalities at Abingdon & Witney College to talk about potential changes to the Apprenticeships scheme. With 3 existing Engineering Apprentices and a desire to recruit up to 4 more this year, as well as a number of Graduate and other Trainee positions within our business, Crowcon is keen to ensure that policy makers understand some of the challenges faced in recruiting and retaining key personnel.

Crowcon receive ISO 14001 accreditation!

Crowcon has recently achieved ISO 14001 certification. A first for us, and an achievement that will show our commitment to helping the environment.

Crowcon have moved to bigger and improved premises!

Having outgrown our previous headquarters, we have now moved to a purpose-built facility in Milton Park, Abingdon, Oxfordshire.

The new facility became fully operational on Monday 18th August and provides a better training and product demonstration centre, enabling larger groups and an even stronger focus on customer training and awareness. As well as this, the new site provides upgraded facilities for provision of improved support service, device servicing and calibration, to meet increasing demand for our products well into the future.
