Crowcon’s IQ range shortlisted for supplier innovation at iosh awards 

Crowcon has been shortlisted for the Supplier Innovation Award at the IOSH Awards 2026, recognising the IQ range for its innovative approach to connected portable gas detection and its contribution to advancing safety across the occupational safety and health (OSH) profession. 

Launched this year as IOSH’s new flagship awards programme, the IOSH Awards celebrate organisations and individuals making an outstanding contribution to workplace health and safety. Organised on behalf of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health by Redactive, the awards are judged by an independent panel of industry experts, with winners announced at a ceremony on 24 September 2026 at Hilton Bankside, London. 

The Supplier Innovation Award recognises products, technologies and services that help organisations improve workplace safety through innovation and measurable performance improvements. 

Crowcon’s shortlisted entry centres on the IQ range, a family of portable gas detection solutions designed to simplify the way organisations manage gas detection. Launched in 2025, the range includes UnoIQ, a compact single-gas detector; DuoIQ, a configurable dual-gas detector; and DetectiveIQ, a rugged area monitor for site-wide protection. Built on a shared modular platform, every device integrates with IQhub and Crowcon Connect, giving safety teams real-time visibility of alarms, compliance status and fleet activity. 

At the heart of the IQ range are innovations designed to maximise uptime while reducing the time and cost associated with fleet management. Swappable, pre-calibrated sensor trays eliminate the need for on-site calibration, while extended battery life, rapid charging and bump tests completed in under 10 seconds help minimise disruption to day-to-day operations. Full calibration takes just 30 seconds, helping address one of the industry’s biggest challenges, with studies showing many portable gas detectors are not maintained or calibrated as frequently as they should be. 

The IQ range has already received industry recognition. DuoIQ was recently awarded a Red Dot Award: Product Design 2026 for innovation, usability and design excellence, while the portfolio was recognised by the International Fire & Safety Journal for its contribution to connected gas detection.
