Training

Crowcon can help your people develop gas detection awareness and gain a better understanding of our certified products.  We offer comprehensive service, installation and maintenance training for agents, distributors and customers.

What courses do Crowcon offer?

Our courses cover the full Crowcon fixed systems and portable product ranges, incorporating hands-on product experience, case studies and detailed and practical information specific to your needs.  This insight will ensure you are fully prepared and equipped for work.  And if your training requirements are bespoke, we can work with you to develop a training programme to meet your specific needs.

Crowcon provide three types of courses:

User course: This course is ideal for those new to the gas detection industry or engineers who will be working with gas detection equipment on a regular basis. Providing an introduction to gas hazards and principles, this course will explore the different technologies and methods available to ensure you have the right tool for the job. A full introduction to Crowcon’s fixed systems and portables product ranges, including hands-on experience and operation techniques.

Maintenance course: This course is for agents and distributors who require more in-depth maintenance and service of Crowcon products, both fixed and portable, on maintaining product, service and replacement of parts. The course includes gas hazards, principles, certification software applications on calibration and operating of the product. Also fault finding tools to help with the service of the product.

Bespoke course: Crowcon can provide bespoke training courses. Prior to the course, you will be able to design your training requirements and objectives with our training officers who will create a course specific for your needs.

After successful completion of each course a certificate is issued for the competency obtained during the training. The certificate is non-transferable and is specific to the individual and their specific company of employment. All certificates remain the property of Crowcon and as such may be withdrawn at any time at the company’s discretion.

All delegates whose certificates have expired will need to be re-certified and deemed competent by taking part in an authorised refresher course. This enables them and your company to continue with approved service and maintenance of your certified product.

All courses are held at Crowcon’s headquarters in Oxfordshire, but we do offer training on-site within the UK and internationally.

Who should attend?

  • All Crowcon agents and distributor service personnel who wish to service and maintain Crowcon gas detection equipment
  • All customers who wish to service and maintain their own Crowcon gas detection equipment
  • All requests for training from potential delegates need to be supplied in writing with a completed course booking form (available upon request) and authorization from your specific regional sales manager
