Sustainability at Crowcon

At Crowcon we have a vision to eliminate waste and pollution through our entire supply chain to protect the future of our customers, employees and our greater community.

We’re proud that our business is succeeding but we also recognise that this success comes with even greater responsibility to become more sustainable. Our Sustainability Committee are working to develop and deliver our key sustainability objectives (KSO’s) to support the overall Halma sustainable growth strategy.

Our KSO's
  1. Reducing Waste
  2. Reducing Energy Consumption
  3. Digital Footprint
Climate change
  • Renewable Energy – our UK energy comes from 100% renewable energy. With our global teams using energy that comes from 80% renewable sources by 2025.
  • We are a PrintReleaf member who are a reforestation scheme who plant a tree on our behalf based on the amount of paper we use, thereby helping to put back resources that have been taken.
  • Although not usually thought of, we are aiming to reduce our digital carbon footprint, through website development to reduce digital CO2 emissions by 25% by the year 2024.
Circular economy
  • Through our current waste company Biffa, we are almost zero to landfill, with the aim to divert 100% of waste from landfill by 2023 (UK). Globally we aim to meet this by 2025.
  • By 2030 we aim to achieve a 42% absolute reduction in Scope 1 & 2 GHG emissions from 2020 baseline and to achieve net zero Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 2040 Market-based Scope 2 methodology.
  • The continuous launch of longer life solutions for all our portable products will help to reduce the wider waste economy, due to longer life of products, we aim to achieve this by 2025.
