COVID 19 Statement – March 17th 2020

Scope/Applicability: Crowcon Detection Instruments Suppliers and Customers.

We are monitoring closely the developments relating to the spread of COVID-19 and noting the updates and advice given by the UK Government, the World Health Organisation and other UK public bodies. Our priorities are to ensure the well-being of our employees and to continue to provide lifesaving equipment to our customers.

We have a robust continuity plan in place and a highly engaged workforce who continue to work and support our customers. Crowcon products keep people and plant safe; this includes those working to ensure key infrastructure (Water, Energy, Telecoms, Pharmaceuticals) continues to run trouble free.

As a group member of the FTSE 100 company, Halma plc, we have a strong parent company ensuring long term financial stability & are working closely with their local incident management teams. These teams are holding regular reviews to assess risk/impacts and as a result taking timely mitigation actions across a range of key areas including;

Employee – welfare
Continuity of supply – products & services
Transport and logistics
Customer commitments and support

I would like to confirm, that we have no specific supply issues relevant to the virus at this time, although we are being advised of some longer lead times for certain products. Currently, our large stockholding is mitigating this risk. Our Supply Chain teams continue to work hard to ensure raw material orders reflect current demand and that our suppliers are communicating any potential challenges to us with plenty of warning.

However, the situation is constantly evolving & we will provide further updates as needed if the risk to direct impact for our customers is seen to increase.

We do typically experience heavy demand in March as we close out our financial year & would ask that orders for delivery in March / April are placed as early as possible & any potential large orders are flagged to your Crowcon contact.
